Promo Items in the Political Sphere and Beyond

Today marks the one-year anniversary of Election Day 2008, when Barack Obama became the first African-American President of the United States. During all of the speeches and public appearances he made while campaigning, Obama distributed promo items to increase visibility for his platform. These promo items, including T-shirts, stickers and pins personalized with Obama’s name and sometimes even an image of his face, engaged voters with his campaign and encouraged them to show their support. While promo items are ideal on the campaign trail, they also make great giveaways for companies in other industries. For example, colleges can distribute backpacks at high school information sessions to persuade students to apply to their university.
